For the past 20 years, Grandview Calvary Baptist Church (“GCBC”) and Salsbury Community Society (“Salsbury”) have been actively caring for people in the Commercial Drive neighbourhood. They are a movement of people who look out for the least of those among us and stand with them. GCBC has donated the church parking lot land to enable the creation of Co:Here.

Along with three community houses operated by Salsbury in the Commercial Drive neighbourhood, a number of programs have grown from the partners that include: Crossroads Community Meal, JustWork, JustPotters, JustCatering, JustRenos, The Potter’s House Studio, Eastside Story Guild, Stillpointe Urban Retreat Centre, Kinbrace Community Society, Resist Exploitation Embrace Dignity (REED), MOMS (Mothers Offering Mentorship and Support), CLEAN Break laundry program.

This history and depth of experience is enriched by the long-term commitment of patrons such as the Hawthorne Charitable Foundation, which has partnered with Co:Here since its inception.
